I once looked this up for myself as my wife bought an 1894 Stevens Favorite at a yard sale for $5 and I found a great site that had all kinds of info and tips to help date Favorites but I can't find it now. Here is one that has some similar info but not as detailed. http://www.geocities.com/c-thunderer/STEVENSRIFLES.html Note, the guns prior to 1915 had a leaf type mainspring and after had a coil spring so that can narrow things down for you right there. Just looked some more and I think this is the site I was thinking of. Same pictures (I think the first link above copied from the link below) but with more info on dimensions and specs but I could have swore there used to be more historical info last time I looked. Oh well.... maybe it will help. http://www.wisnersinc.com/exploded_v...rite_parts.htm Nope, just checked some more (It was bugging me I couldn't find it...) Here is the grandaddy of all Stevens info websites... Same website as the second one above, just a different page or section. http://www.wisnersinc.com/additional...ite_rifles.htm By the way, if you shorten the url to just www.wisnersinc.com it will take you to the home page and there is a ton of info available on all sorts of older guns. Just a cool site all around. Last edited by Dave Bulla; 03-04-2009 at 01:08 AM. |

The barrel is marked 'J. Chicopee Falls, Mass. 22-Long Rifle'. The Stevens Favorite Model 1915 rifle is in good overall condition. It measures 36.5' with a 22' barrel.
